Growing company in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex specializing in the design and development of custom test and measurement, data acquisition, and control systems seeks an Assembler for full-time, permanent employment. Since our founding in 1990, we have supplied hundreds of custom turnkey systems for a wide variety of industries including military/aerospace, biomedical, and telecommunications.
Assemblers assist Electro-Mechanical Technicians and Senior Technicians in the installation and assembly of automated test, measurement, and control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Wire harness assembly
- Kitting of parts for assembly
- Subassembly of parts
- Maintain lab and integration processes, tools, and work areas
- Contribute to a team environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining electronic or electro-mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of both electric/electronic systems and mechanical systems including PCBA’s, instrumentation, sensors, rack systems, cabling, wire harness assemblies, fixtures and use of crimping tools
- Basic ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics and BOM
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
- Eligibility for ITAR and defense contract work as a verifiable US person
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb for mechanical assembly processes
During the interview process, technical and interpersonal skills will be tested and a background check will be performed. In general, work will be performed in the DFW area. However, occasional travel may be required.
