G Systems, Inc., a growing technology company, seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for full-time employment. Founded in 1990, G Systems specializes in the design, system integration and production of custom test and measurement systems in the aerospace, defense, RF, energy, and biomedical industries.
Responsibilities
Senior Electrical Design Engineers evaluate customer requirements and collaborate with cross-functional team members to design electrical and electro-mechanical systems such as test circuitry and hardware system architecture for instrumentation racks, box/cable assemblies, and printed circuit board assemblies. Responsibilities include:
- Prototype, design, and document designs using electrical CAD software
- Evaluation and select test measurement hardware
- Analyze signal integrity and design conditioning systems
- Support production of designed parts/systems
- Ensure deliverables are on-time, on-budget, and satisfy customer quality requirements
- Support job proposal activities such as material and labor estimations
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities for tools and processes
- Manage hardware configurations using revision control system
- Mentor less experienced design engineers
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in fast-paced design environment developing electrical test systems
- Minimum four-year degree in technical discipline; electrical engineering preferred with an
emphasis on test and measurement system hardware design - Computer skills: Electrical CAD tools (e.g. Altium, AutoCAD, SkyCAD, Solidworks Electrical),
Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio. simulation software experience is desirable (Simulink,
Matlab) - RF measurement and industrial controls knowledge is desirable
- Strong troubleshooting, analytic and problem-solving abilities and an innovative/resourceful
mindset - Test software development experience in LabVIEW (desktop, RT, FPGA), TestStand, C/C++,
Python is desirable - Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligibility for export-controlled work (US citizen or permanent legal resident)
- Experience with DOD, government and aerospace contracts is desirable
