IRVING Texas, April 21, 2026 – G Systems was awarded the contract to manufacture, assemble, inspect, test and deliver the Thrust Control Lever (TCL)/Cyclic Grip Test Set, Part Number 4055AS5300-1 for the Department of the Navy’s NAVAIR warfare center, aircraft division. The test set is an Intermediate Level (I-Level) Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) specifically designed for the maintenance and diagnostic testing of aircraft flight controls across various V-22 models, including the CMV-22, MV-22, CV-22, and those used by Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
The test set is engineered to test and verify the functionality of the Thrust Control Lever (TCL) and the Cyclic Grip. These are the primary pilot interface controls used to manage altitude, airspeed, and directional movement in tiltrotor aircraft.
The V-22 is a unique U.S. military aircraft that combines the vertical takeoff and landing capability of a helicopter with the speed and range of a turboprop airplane. Its defining feature is its tiltrotor system—large nacelles at the wingtips that rotate between vertical (for hovering and takeoff) and horizontal (for forward flight). The V-22 is designed for troop transport, special operations, and logistics missions, offering much faster cruise speeds and longer range than traditional helicopters.
