Electro-Mechanical Technician

Growing company in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex specializing in the design and development of custom test and measurement, data acquisition, and control systems seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician for full-time, permanent employment. Since our founding in 1990, we have supplied hundreds of custom turnkey systems for a wide variety of industries including military/aerospace, biomedical, and telecommunications. Electro-Mechanical Technicians build and install automated test, measurement, and control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and build with little assistance complex electro-mechanical assemblies from Engineering Drawings
  • Assist engineers in the identification of system design and documentation issues
  • Train and mentor assemblers
  • Maintain lab and integration processes, tools, and work areas
  • Work autonomously or in a team environment
  • Interface directly with customers and end-users for training and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining electronic or electro-mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of both electric/electronic systems and mechanical systems including PCBA’s, instrumentation, sensors, rack systems, cabling, wire harness assembly, fixtures, ITAs, and PC hardware
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics and BOM
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and an innovative and resourceful mindset
  • Eligibility for ITAR and defense contract work as a verifiable US Person
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb for mechanical assembly processes

During the interview process, technical and interpersonal skills will be tested and a background check will be performed. In general, work will be performed in the DFW area. However, occasional travel may be required.
