Quality Manager

G Systems, Inc. seeks a Quality Manager for in-person full-time employment. Founded in 1990, G Systems specializes in the design and production of custom test and measurement solutions in the aerospace, defense, and energy industries. Responsibilities

This position has direct management responsibility for quality department personnel and processes. Quality Manager interfaces with all aspects of the company including Sales, Accounting, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production.

  • Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards
  • Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations
  • Manages wide range of continual improvement initiatives and is capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments and with customers
  • Manages QMS and facilitates internal and external audits
  • Manages receiving and production inspection team
  • Supports supplier selection and ongoing qualifications
  • Develop, implement, train, and maintain relevant processes and procedures and ensure compliance
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect all areas of the company
  • Support job proposal activities including material and labor estimations
Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in quality systems management
  • Four-year degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience; Lean manufacturing knowledge is desirable.
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 management systems
  • Experience with DOD, Government and Aerospace contracts including flow-downs and interfacing with DCMA
  • Detail-oriented approach and strong organizing/planning/prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and manage risks using good judgment
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to influence change in a growing organization
  • Must be a US Person: (a) a US citizen, a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 USC 1101(a)(20), or (b) a protected individual as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems is desirable
Salary and Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience level.
